  1. I thoroughly enjoy your description of your dog. I find it interesting how rescued dogs adjust to their life under a new owner. This may come out through being rambunctious, having aggressive behavior, or lack of energy. I am glad to see your dog has adjusted well to life with your family and I'd love to hear additional stories about your dog. Nice work!

  2. Man I love Ollie. I think your post really illustrates well how he is not just a pet but a family member and I think that that fact really comes through in all of your anecdotes and stories. Cool post & cool dog.

  3. Awww I love this post. I'm still yet to meet your dog, but he sounds like the cutest thing ever. I also like how you described him as a family member as well as a pet.

  4. I love Ollie. He's so cute and affectionate, and it's so great hearing his story on how he's developed. I think you did a great job and giving a personality and holistic picture of Ollie through writing.

  5. The bit you said about Ollie being a lap dog makes me think of the dogs that remind me of cats. My friend has a dog that will rub up against your legs and curl up between them when you sit down in a way that is so reminiscent of my own cat. I find it amusing that there can be similar behaviors in the two species that are often depicted to be night and day from one another.

  6. I love Ollie. I like that you not only mentioned some of the ways that being a dog is different from being a high school student, like how dogs are able to lay in the sun all day, but also the ways that we are similar, like how Ollie also gets stressed out at times. I really want to give Ollie a big hug.

  7. I like how you are curious of why Ollie is the way he is. In that sense, you might not know everything about his past, but you can still love him the same. That said, I appreciate the progression Ollie has made.

  8. I like how you dive into why Ollie might have the mannerisms he does. Like you mention that a lot of his habits might come from traumas before his adoption from the Humane society.

  9. So I have never had a pet before but from reading this I feel like the main reason for that is that if there was a dog in our house their be now two things running around in circles and lying down all the time. Although I don't poop behind the couch I sure have thought about it.
